Hector, a recurring character, most famously appears in the television series Breaking Bad and its prequel, Better Call Saul. He is portrayed by Mark Margolis.

Hector Salamanca is a high-ranking member of the Juárez Cartel. He's known for his ruthless and violent methods, often resolving disputes through intimidation and murder. A prominent figure in the Albuquerque drug trade, he exerts significant control and commands respect, though his volatile temper often leads to conflicts.

During the events of Better Call Saul, Hector is relatively mobile, though his health is declining. A stroke later leaves him confined to a wheelchair, unable to speak, though he retains his mental faculties. He communicates using a bell, which he uses to signal and terrify those around him.

Hector's deep-seated animosity towards Gustavo Fring, a rival drug distributor, becomes a central plot point in both series. Their ongoing feud, fueled by past betrayals and power struggles, culminates in Hector using the bell to trigger a bomb that kills both himself and Fring.
